Plane crash in Croatia leaves several dead, state media says

Several people died when a small plane crashed on Thursday (4) in the region of Istria, northwest Croatia, near the city of Medulin on the Adriatic Sea, state news agency Hina reported, citing police.

According to unofficial information, four people were found dead. Rescuers were searching for two others.

Istrian police were not immediately available for comment.

Authorities reported that emergency teams, police and firefighters were at the scene, according to Hina.

The plane had taken off from Germany, according to the Index.hr portal.
