PL and allies expect Castro to withdraw from candidacy this Thursday

The former governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro (PL) is expected to formalize his withdrawal from his candidacy for the Senate this Thursday (28). CNN had already announced that he would leave the electoral race this week.

According to people close to Castro, the former governor will focus on his defense after being the target of Federal Police operations, one of them involving Banco Master, owned by former banker Daniel Vorcaro.
