Corinthians took to the court to face Minas on Friday night (10), at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, Parque São Jorge, in a match valid for the 12th round of the National Futsal League (LNF), and beat the opponent by the score of 3 x 1. With the triumph in the match considered 'six points', as the rival was one point ahead, Timão jumped to 11th place - out of 16 teams - with 11 points - three wins, two draws and seven defeats - 19 goals scored and 26 conceded.
Moments after the clock ran out, center Fabinho gave an exclusive interview to LNF TV, the competition's official YouTube channel, and highlighted the importance of the victory to move away from the tournament's relegation zone and enter the fight for a place in the playoffs for the quarter-finals of the National League - from fifth to 12th place. First to fourth place go straight to the knockout stage.

"First of all, we would like to thank God (for the victory and the goal). We were very disengaged at home, we haven't been playing badly, but we couldn't get results. Today was a good match, maybe it wasn't the best we've played here at home this year, but it was one that we won and it's very important for the championship sequence," he said.
Fabinho was one of three players signed by the Corinthians futsal team for the 2026 season. In the last two seasons, he had played for Praia Clube, where he scored 48 goals in 87 games, according to figures from the Ogol website. Previously, he had spells at Taubaté, ACBF and Campo Mourão. With the Corinthians shirt, seven goals were scored in 22 games - 11 wins, five draws and six defeats - 57.6% success rate. In 2026, he is the team's third top scorer, behind only Maicon (11 goals) and Rick (10 goals).
Timão, after beating Minas, at home, in the National Futsal League, will remain focused on the national competition. This is because, next Friday (17), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), Alvinegro will visit São José, in the interior of São Paulo, at the Ginásio Poliesportivo José Adailson Vieira Filho, for the 13th round of the first phase of the tournament.
