PF rescues eight women and three children victims of sexual exploitation in PR

The Federal Police rescued, last Friday (29), 11 victims of sexual exploitation in Paraná. Eight Paraguayan women and three children were victims of a group specialized in enticing vulnerable foreign women into sex trade in Brazil.

The action closed three commercial establishments used by the criminal organization, located in São Clemente and Entre Rios do Oeste. A woman, the main suspect of organizing the criminal scheme and owner of the locations, was arrested.

The PF explained that women would be lured by false promises and, upon arriving in the country, they would be subjected to fraudulent debts, intimidation, restrictions on their freedom and withholding of documents.

The group would still appropriate the values obtained from the sexual encounters that the victims were subjected to.

The investigations showed that the suspects were transferring the women between the establishments under investigation, to make their location and eventual rescue difficult.

In total, two search and seizure warrants were executed in the municipality of Santa Helena, in addition to a preventive arrest warrant and court orders for precautionary interdiction of the three commercial establishments.

Of the 11 victims rescued, four women preferred to stay in Brazil and join the reception program. The rest returned to Paraguay with the support of the consulate.
