Personal income remains stable in the US and consumer spending advances in April
Personal income in the United States remained stable in April compared to March, according to data published this Thursday (28) by the country's Department of Commerce. Analysts consulted by FactSet predicted an increase of 0.4%.
Consumer spending in the US increased 0.5% in the same period, above analysts' consensus, which expected an increase of 0.3%.
The personal income data for March was revised downwards, from an increase of 0.6% to an increase of 0.5%.
Last month's consumption expenditure indicator was revised upwards, from an increase of 0.9% to a gain of 1.0%.
