Paula Fernandes' team speaks out after fight with singer; understand
The teams of singers Paula Fernandes spoke out on social media this Monday (29) after a misunderstanding between the two at a performance last Saturday.
"After a meeting between the offices and the artists, in a calm, technical and peaceful manner, it was clarified that the heavy rains that occurred last Saturday [...] caused delays in the assembly of the stage structure [...] Both artists and their teams were present at the site at the scheduled times and sought, collaboratively, alternatives to minimize impacts on the public", the statement began.
The document mentions that it was decided by the organization to keep Paula Fernandes' performance at the announced time and to postpone Ranniery Gomes' show - which made it impossible for him to participate in the festival, as he had other commitments.
"After clarifying the facts, Ranniery Gomes recognizes that there was a hasty assessment of the situation on the night of the event and apologizes to the artist Paula Fernandes for the inappropriate comments and messages on the social network to her, her team and managers", says the text.
The singer's position was to regret that her colleague's presentation did not happen and that she respects the entire artistic environment.
"Both artists celebrate music, mutual respect and appreciation of Brazilian culture, regardless of musical genre", concludes the statement.
Singer defends himself
Soon after, Ranniery published a video on social media in which he defended himself.
"My team and I arrived at the venue early. It was within my schedule and I was informed by the local production team that, if I went on stage, Paula would not do the show. [...] If I was within my schedule, then, what was my fault? I tried to talk to her technicians, who even helped me well, and explained that there was a delay in the assembly production, that Paula had to go up at 11pm and there was no way to free up the stage for someone else beforehand", he reported.
The singer said that he offered to do a short performance with the country singer's equipment, without changing the structure, but that the proposal was not accepted for fear of delaying the artist's show.
"I think that because they didn't know me, they might have thought that I wouldn't do just half an hour of the show. They had this fear and they were also worried because of all the hassle they had had with setting up the stage, which arrived very late at the event, delaying the setting up of the sound and the setting up of the lights", he said.
