Paula Barbosa, granddaughter of Benedito Ruy Barbosa, mourns her grandfather's death on social media. The author and playwright died this Tuesday (7), aged 95, due to complications from chronic kidney failure.
"You were giant, but everyone knows that. And what only I know is what an incredible grandfather I had. I have so many unforgettable memories. So many stories I lived by your side that I tell my great-grandchildren and they die laughing. Forever in our hearts. Thank you for everything. I love you beyond this life", wrote the actress.
Paula starred in her grandfather's soap operas, such as "Paraíso" and "Meu Pedacinho de Chão". Her most recent work on TV was in 2022, when she played Zefa, in the version of "Pantanal" adapted by her cousin, Bruno Luperi, in 2022.
"My grandfather was the person to whom I had to show the most service. He was the first to say: 'You chose this. Don't think that, because I'm an author, you're guaranteed'", said Paula in an interview with gshow at the time the plot aired.
