Gathering thousands of spectators every year since 1966, the Parintins Festival begins this Friday (26) in the city of Parintins, in the interior of Amazonas.

The Boi-Bumbá folkloric event turns 60 this year, runs until June 28th and is the stage for the historic rivalry between Boi Caprichoso and Garantido. For the parade of cultural associations, the city has the Bumbódromo, which can accommodate up to 25 thousand people.

Fierce, the dispute has already guaranteed Boi Garantido the greatest number of victories. In red and white colors, Garantido has 33 titles and was the one who won in 2025. Boi Caprichoso, represented by blue and white, won 26 times.

Theme of the associations this year
This year, Boi Garantido will parade under the theme "Parintins: Portal of Enchantment", with the subthemes "Portal of Enchantment", "Portal of Diversity" and "Enchanted Land" for each night.

Boi Caprichoso will present "Brinquedo que Canta Seu Chão" with the subthemes "O Brinquedo do Povo Sing: Parintins - O Chão de Origem", "O Brinquedo Ancestral Sing: Amazônia o Chão da Vida", "O Brinquedo da Resistência Sing: Norte Brasil - Chão de Bravos" for each night of the edition.

The fashion shows can be followed on the internet, through a live broadcast on the TV channel A Crítica, an Amazonian broadcaster that will be shown both on open TV and on its official YouTube page.
