The 2025/26 Premier League has come to an end and, with it over, the newspaper "The Athletic" published a ranking evaluating all 189 transfers of the season. Jhon Arias, Palmeiras striker and former Fluminense player, is among the worst in the English league.

The Colombian was voted the 187th worst signing in the Premier League. Arias was sold by Fluminense in July 2025 and became the "symbol of Wolverhampton's humiliating season".

With 20 points, Wolverhampton was relegated from the Premier League. The team only scored 20 points and had their relegation confirmed five rounds in advance.

Arias' time at Wolver was short. There were 26 games (17 as a starter), with two goals and one assist. In the Premier League, just one goal. In February 2026, Palmeiras announced the signing of the Colombian.

"The main symbol of both Wolves' humiliating season and the club's recruitment failure last summer. One goal and no assists in 23 league games for the Colombian, who was sold back to Brazilian football to Palmeiras in February (somehow, at a profit), never to be mentioned again," publishes the US portal.

Armando Broja, sold from Chelsea to Burnley for £20 million, and Harvey Elliott, on loan from Liverpool to Aston Villa, were the only worst-rated transfers.
