Palmeiras: Paulinho reveals and plans cycle for the next World Cup

Paulinho revealed that he is "practically cured" of the stress fracture in his right leg and, having recovered, he intends to help Palmeiras for more minutes next semester. Furthermore, the striker dreams of joining the Brazilian National Team with a view to the next World Cup.

The number 10 regretted his absence from Verdão's matches for almost a year and said he is used to playing more. Paulinho scored the winning goal for Palmeiras against Chapecoense, this Sunday (31).

"I'm used to playing 90 minutes, I played at Atlético for practically two years like that. One year with my leg practically fractured. It causes a lot of anxiety to see the team in important moments, it's very difficult. Seeing that you can help and not be there, it's bad. When I enter, I have the knowledge to have coolness and a calm mind to decide the game in a ball", he said, and added about the Brazilian team.

"I was left out of this cycle, it's bad, everyone dreams of playing in the World Cup. I have faith that, healing from this injury, that I'm practically cured, returning to play at 100%, I can enter the cycle of the next World Cup and aim for call-ups for the national team", added the striker.

Paulinho, in fact, should be allowed to play for more minutes after the World Cup break.

"We will have more than a month to work until the next game and, for sure, I will be able to play more than 45 minutes", said the player.

Leader of the Brazilian Championship regardless of the result, the team led by coach Abel Ferreira reached 41 points, seven more than Flamengo. With the pause in competitions for the World Cup, Palmeiras will only play again in July, when they will face Coritiba, in the Brasileirão.
