Pacheco works to try to facilitate dialogue between Lula and Alcolumbre
Amidst a turbulent relationship, senator Rodrigo Pacheco (PSB-MG) has been trying to bring President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) back together with the president of the Federal Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP).
According to reports made to CNN, Pacheco has been talking to PT's interlocutors and also trying to build a resumption of dialogue with the senator.
Lula has resisted dialogue with Alcolumbre. The expectation is that they will only talk after the PT member's trip to France, to the G20.
In the last conversation with Palácio do Planalto, Alcolumbre would have conditioned the processing of the PEC at the end of the 6×1 scale to a meeting with Lula.
When contacted by CNN, Pacheco did not respond to the report. The senator has been considered to be the rapporteur for the proposed change in working hours.
Pacheco usually acts as a mediator in conflicts between Lula and Alcolumbre. With a good dialogue with the PT member, Pacheco is one of the senator's greatest allies.
