Egypt secured a historic participation in the knockout stage of the World Cup, but the participation of the team's biggest star, Mohamed Salah, is in doubt.

The striker underwent tests this Saturday (27) after being substituted after feeling pain in the match against Iran, and was diagnosed with a strain in the hamstring muscle.

In a statement, the Egyptian team informed that the player has been undergoing treatment since yesterday, but did not give any deadline for his return.

The clash against Australia is scheduled for next Friday (3), at 3pm (Brasília time), at the AT&T stadium, in Dallas, Texas.

Other injuries
In addition to Salah, Ahmed Fattouh also suffered an injury to the hamstring, and is also doubtful for the duel. Mohamed Abdel Moneim is recovering from an ankle injury.
