Corinthians continued, last Monday (29), their interseason activities at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava. Among the players who returned after the vacation period is defender Renato, 21 years old, who remains out of the plans of Fernando Diniz's coaching staff and continues to train separately from the rest of the professional squad.

According to information initially released by Meu Timão, the black and white board intends to take advantage of the next transfer window to find a new destination for the defender, whether on loan or in a definitive negotiation. The athlete's contract with the club is valid until July 31, 2027.

The first period of movement between Brazilian clubs takes place between the 9th and 17th of July. Then, the second window of the season will be open between July 20th and September 11th, allowing for new negotiations scheduled in the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) calendar.

Revealed in Corinthians' youth categories, Renato arrived at the club in August 2019 to join the Under-15 squad. After playing for the Under-17s, where he won the Campeonato Paulista category in 2021, the defender was promoted to the Under-20s and established himself as one of the pieces of the team led by Danilo.

During his time in the category, he participated in the 2024 São Paulo Junior Football Cup title campaign, forming a defensive duo with João Pedro Tchoca, currently integrated into the main squad. In total, he played 101 matches for the Under-20s, scored 13 goals and became frequently involved in professional team games, although he never made his official debut.

Last season, Renato was considered an option for the Campeonato Paulista, still under the command of Ramón Díaz, but he did not receive opportunities on the field. With competition increasing in the sector, he lost space within the squad and ended up being loaned to Atlético-GO in April 2025, in search of a better draft.

The experience at the Goiás club, however, did not have the expected outcome. The defender was only listed once during Series B of the Brazilian Championship and was unable to gain space in the team.

Back at Parque São Jorge at the beginning of this season, Renato also did not become part of Dorival Júnior's plans, remaining away from activities with the main squad while the club awaited proposals. Even after the arrival of Fernando Diniz, the situation remained unchanged.

Now, with the reopening of the transfer market approaching, the Corinthians board is working to find a new club for the defender, who continues to carry out separate activities while awaiting the definition of his future.
