Operation in Maré against TCP ends with 25 prisoners
The Civil and Military Police carried out, this Wednesday (10), "Operation Trinus", against the criminal structure of the TCP (Third Pure Command), which operates in Complexo da Maré, in the North Zone of Rio. The action ended with 25 prisoners.
The agents seized five rifles, two pistols, drugs, cash, in addition to recovering 49 vehicles, 27 cars and 22 motorcycles. Police officers also located three greenhouses used to grow marijuana, with around 300 seedlings of the drug.
According to the Civil Police, investigations revealed a criminal structure "much broader than drug trafficking".
Among the main results of the operation are the discovery of a functioning cryptocurrency farm, used for financial transactions, a scam center that had elderly people and pensioners as its main victims and a clandestine warehouse that stored thousands of stolen products intended to supply illegal trade controlled by the TCP.

The action, according to the corporation, is the result of months of investigation conducted by the 21st DP (Bonsucesso), with support from intelligence sectors, document analysis and collection of statements. The investigations were organized into six independent fronts, which made it possible to map different areas of activity of the criminal organization.
The investigations revealed the involvement of the targets in a series of crimes that go beyond drug trafficking. Among the crimes identified are cargo theft, homicides, domestic violence and crimes committed against children and adolescents.
The operation aimed to reach members responsible for strategic functions within the organization, in addition to gathering new evidence that could strengthen ongoing investigations.
