Only one of the 26 players from the Brazilian team returns on the chartered flight offered by the CBF after being eliminated by Norway in the round of 16 of the World Cup. Right-back Danilo, from Flamengo, joined members of the CBF and national team staff, from the areas of marketing, communication and security, heading to Rio.

Arrival in Brazil will be late this Tuesday night (7).

Goalkeeper Léo Nannetti is also on board, a young Flamengo player who was with the group throughout the World Cup to help with training as the fourth goalkeeper.

The remaining athletes began to leave The Ridge hotel, in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, on Sunday night (5), the day of the 2-0 defeat to the Norwegians.

Neymar, for example, already posted that he was with his family in Orlando and Vinícius Jinior went to Ibiza, Spain. Endrick was also seen in Morristown, having dinner at a restaurant.

Each player was able to decide whether they wanted to return to Brazil, whether they wanted to go to Europe, those who play there, or whether they wanted to spend more days in the United States.

Only seven players play for Brazilian clubs: Léo Pereira, Danilo, Alex Sandro and Lucas Paquetá, Flamengo quartet, Neymar (Santos), Weverton (Grêmio) and Danilo Santos (Botafogo). The Grêmio goalkeeper got a few days off and will perform again next Monday.

The same should happen with the other players. Danilo's case is more uncertain, as it is unlikely that the midfielder will remain at Botafogo. He waited for the end of his participation in the World Cup to define his new destination, which could be Palmeiras or a European team.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti will also not return to Rio. He will have a few days off and will stay in Vancouver, Canada, where he lives. His wife is Canadian.

He should return to Brazil at the end of July to start the new cycle as coach of the national team with a focus on the 2030 World Cup, which will be in Portugal, Spain and Morocco. The FIFA Date for September and October, now longer, lasting 16 days, has two friendlies already scheduled, on the 25th and 29th of September, in Australia, against the hosts.

CBF will still be able to schedule one more game, in Asia.

Analysis: "Brazil had a mediocre campaign with poor repertoire"
