On CNN, Jonas Sulzbach details the end of work on the mansion and its future
Jonas Sulzabach, 40, one of the highlights of Big Brother Brasil 26, finally managed to finish the work on the mansion he was building in São Paulo with his ex-girlfriend, Mari Gonzalez, and shared some photos of the result on social media. In conversation with CNN Brasil, he clarifies that all costs were shared with the model, even after their relationship ended.
"We had several delays and unforeseen construction issues, especially because it's a big house. It's been ready for a few months, houses always have something to do, but this is ours", he says.
The ex-brother, who became known in the 26th edition as "Quinta Série", explains that the two decided to buy the land and build the mansion from scratch because they were having great difficulty finding a ready-made house that would be ideal for both of them.
"There was always something that bothered us: either it was too big, or too small, or we didn't like the view. That's when we decided to start a project from scratch. We worked together with the architect and found the ideal house model for us to live in. As we were dealing with a dream, each stage was enjoyable, so there wasn't much of a 'harder' part", he comments.
The mansion, located in Alphaville, metropolitan region of São Paulo, is 560 square meters, divided into four suites, two integrated living rooms, a kitchen and a gourmet space, in addition to six bathrooms spread between the rooms.
"It also has a terrace, where we used half of the space to place solar panels and the other half to use the area itself."
Like every home, Jonas chooses the room he liked most about the architectural result: "From the beginning of the work, when it started to take shape, it was the master suite. It has a wonderful view of an incredible forest. It's definitely one of the areas I like most, along with the gourmet space downstairs, which faces the pool, which also has a beautiful view", he points out.
The giant house is adorned with lots of glass, stones around the pool, in the gourmet area and some items that will be part of the residence's decoration. Despite having finished, Jonas does not intend to live in the mansion and confesses that the two still don't know what to do with the property.
"The house will not have furniture now, we haven't reached that part and we won't even add it because it will be sold or rented. The focus was on the structural part and some appliances. I think the most expensive item we bought was a retractable hood that is on the counter, behind the stove, and cost around R$20,000. There are other expensive items, but they are more in the structural part of the house."
