Olivia Rodrigo: "I also love speculating about my idols' songs"

After the release of her third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad for A Girl So in Love", singer Olivia Rodrigo, 23, admitted that she also speculates about the meaning of the compositions of her favorite artists. In an interview with The Elvis Duran Show podcast, she gave details about her relationship with her fans' theories about her music.

Recently, the star stated that the long-awaited album was strongly influenced by feelings such as jealousy, longing and desire experienced during her first "adult relationship". The artist - who was dating actor Louis Partridge, 22, when she produced the material - admitted that the main creative challenge was writing romantic songs with a positive tone.

"I really, from my heart, try not to look at these things [on the internet]. It's none of my business," said the singer, who says she avoids reading what is said about her, but still understands her fans' curiosity.

"Like, I just try to write music that I love, that's meaningful to me. I think people can speculate, and I love speculating about my favorite artists' songs; it's all a beautiful exchange. So, I just try not to stress about it, I think it would drive me crazy," he said.

The music video for the single "The Cure", in which the singer plays a nurse, will be released tomorrow (22). The teaser of a few seconds released by the singer showed a hospital environment and a door with her initials "OR", but did not reveal any further details about the production.
