Olivia Rodrigo has the most played album in 2026 on the 1st day

Singer Olivia Rodrigo, 23, broke records with her third studio album, "You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love", released on Friday (12), on the streaming platforms Spotify and Amazon Music.

On social media, Spotify and Amazon Music revealed that the singer has, to date, the biggest debut album of 2026, with the first streaming being the biggest debut among female artists, and in the second, among any artist.

"Olivia's album 'You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love' has become Spotify's most-streamed album by a female artist," Spotify said in a statement on social media.

"Olivia's album 'You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So In Love' has achieved the record for the most global first-day airplay for an album on Amazon Music," Amazon Music reported.

On the album, Olivia Rodrigo focuses on the ups and downs of a loving relationship. Known for transforming personal experiences into confessional lyrics since the success of "Sour", the artist maintains the tradition of using compositions as a kind of emotional diary, amid striking melodies.

"It's my attempt to capture love on both sides of the coin. Hope and disappointment. Madness and clarity. Engagement and unfolding," Olivia Rodrigo wrote about the album on social media.
