Oliver Tree memorial ceremony will be live-streamed, magazine says

Singer Oliver Tree is among the victims of the helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro.

A special ceremony to celebrate Oliver Tree is scheduled for July 25th. The information was given by a representative of the artist to "Billboard" magazine.
The musician was one of the six fatal victims of the collision between two helicopters that occurred in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, on June 14.
According to the North American publication, the event will be broadcast live "due to limited space for family and friends".

Also according to Billboard, the ceremony will take place in an open-air space on the University of California campus. The artist's team will announce details about the broadcast of the event soon.

Born in Santa Cruz, California, in 1993, Tree was known both for his music and for the eccentric persona he built throughout his career: caricatured look, clothes and haircuts exaggerated, and shows that mix comedy, fake reality shows and even fighting.
Today he has around 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify and more than 2 million followers on Instagram. He has collaborated with names like Marshmello, David Guetta, Little Big, KSI and BoyWithUke.
He started out as a teenager with independent singles, but the turning point came in 2017, when the single "When I'm Down" went viral.
In 2020 he released his major-label debut album, "Ugly Is Beautiful", which reached number 14 on the Billboard 200 and topped the rock chart.

The peak of popularity came with "Life Goes On" (2021) and especially "Miss You" (2022, with a remix by Robin Schulz), which became his biggest international hits, together totaling more than 1.4 billion streams on Spotify.
Since then he has released three more albums - "Cowboy Tears" (2022), "Alone in a Crowd" (2023) and "Love You Madly Hate You Badly" (2026).
Between 2019 and 2020, Tree dated singer Melanie Martinez, who performed at the Lollapalooza festival in São Paulo in 2023.
Tree had performed a show in São Paulo on June 6, at Studio Stage, in the Lapa neighborhood. He was also joined by Argentine YouTuber Gaspi, who has almost three million subscribers on the platform.
