Nunes dismisses SPTuris manager after investigation into Dark Horse producer

The mayor of São Paulo Ricardo Nunes (MDB) announced this Wednesday (10) the removal of Rodrigo Raveli Bolzan from the position of events manager at SPTuris (São Paulo Turismo).

According to Nunes, the decision was taken after the CGM (Comptroller General of the Municipality) opened an investigation to investigate Bolzan's alleged involvement with an NGO owned by Karina da Gama, owner of the production company responsible for the film "Dark Horse".

This investigation, according to the mayor, was opened after an article on the Metrópoles portal, which points to a network of companies and NGOs linked to Karina and the ICB (Instituto conhecimento Brasil) that had gained space in São Paulo City Hall precisely after Rodrigo took on the role of events manager.

"He [Rodrigo Raveli Bonzan] has been an employee of SPTuris since 2005, he is a very old employee. SPTuris has around 220 contracts, he was an inspector for eight contracts. What happened? He is removed from his duties, an investigation was opened by the Comptroller", said the mayor.

Nunes also highlighted that "under no circumstances" does he want to leave any type of doubt about any contract signed by SPTuris during his management.

"The investigation process will be very quick and swift and, if any illegality is identified, he will obviously be fired and, if there is no illegality, I will not carry on my shoulders anything that is a burden on my conscience for committing injustice. [...] I will also not carry on my shoulders the weight of being omitted", he stated.. "So, it is being investigated and the Comptroller's decision will be passed on to me and we will define what will be done."

CNN contacted the General Comptroller of the city of São Paulo and is awaiting feedback.
