Alcolumbre receives Finance Minister to discuss bombshell agenda in the Senate

The president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), received this Tuesday (9), the Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, to discuss projects sensitive to the economic team due to their high impact on public accounts.
The fiscal cost of the matters being debated in the Senate exceeds R$ 270 billion, according to estimates by the economic team.
The meeting took place at the Senate's official residence amid a turbulent relationship between Alcolumbre and the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Despite the scenario, Durigan is one of the ministers who has the best relationship with Alcolumbre on the Esplanada dos Ministérios.

One of the proposals, the one with the greatest impact, is on the agenda of tomorrow's Senate session: the bill (PL) that deals with the renegotiation of rural producers' debts.
The text was approved by the Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) and has an estimated impact of R$120 billion on public accounts over the next ten years.
Another issue that concerns the economic team is the proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC) that grants full and parity retirement to health agents as well, approved by the Chamber last year.
The PEC is in the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ), and the Treasury calculates a cost of R$99 billion.
The bill that establishes the new salary floor for doctors and dental surgeons is another that concerns the Ministry of Finance due to the fiscal impact, estimated at R$47 billion.
The proposal is being processed on a final basis - if approved, it will go directly to the Chamber - in the Social Affairs Committee (CAS).
The government also wants to postpone the discussion of the PEC that increases the share of Union resources allocated to the Municipal Participation Fund (FPM). The estimated impact is R$10 billion this year alone.
