Neymar trains separately from the squad and remains a doubt against Haiti
Neymar was present at the Brazilian team's training session this Wednesday (17), at CT Columbia Park, in the United States. The number 10 participated in the activities on the pitch, but still carried out physical work separately from the rest of the squad.
According to information obtained by CNN, the striker began the first days of the physical transition phase after treatment for the injury to his right calf that has sidelined him for a month. Despite the evolution in his clinical condition, the chance of Neymar being available to coach Carlo Ancelotti for the match against Haiti, in the second round of the group stage, is still considered low.
The player follows a specific recovery schedule drawn up by the CBF medical department. At this stage, the work is focused on physical conditioning and readaptation to effort on the field before reintegrating into ball activities alongside teammates.
Neymar suffered the injury during Santos' defeat to Coritiba, on May 17, one day before the call-up for the World Cup. Since then, he was left out of preparatory friendlies and also the Brazilian team's debut at the World Cup.
Exams carried out in recent days have shown progress in muscle recovery, but there is still no possibility of immediate release for full training. The expectation is that the attacker will be re-evaluated again in the coming days.
