Neymar is "not fit to play" and becomes doubtful against Haiti
Sources consulted by CNN Brasil confirm that, at the moment, Neymar is "unable to play", thus, the player's presence against Morocco is ruled out and there is great uncertainty regarding his participation in the match against Haiti.
Brazil debuts against Morocco this Saturday (13), at the MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey. Last Monday (8), the report confirmed the player's presence at the stadium, even without playing, as a way of providing support and an example of leadership to the squad.
Neymar trained at the gym this Saturday. This is part, according to sources, of the "Neymar Project", which aims to focus on recovering from the player's right calf injury with gym training and physiotherapy, twice a day, in addition to medical and nutritional monitoring. The plan even includes training sessions during the National Team's rest days.
This week, the CBF confirmed an evolution in the player's health, but did not explain how the improvement occurred, nor did it give an expectation of a return to training on the pitch.
According to orthopedic doctors interviewed by CNN, Neymar will have an average recovery time of three weeks, in addition to three to four days to regain the physical conditioning lost during the period of controlled training.
The player's injury occurred in Santos' match against Coritiba, in the Brasileirão. Next Wednesday (17), the incident will complete one month.
