Neymar has a muscle injury and the doctor confirms his absence from friendlies; understand
The Brazilian team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, confirmed, this Thursday (28), that Neymar has a more serious injury than expected.
The player underwent new tests in Teresópolis after reporting to Granja Comary. The images demonstrated a grade 2 muscle tear in the right calf.
"The examination identified a grade two muscle injury in the calf, not just edema," he said at a press conference.
Also according to Lasmar, the expectation is that the player will be released within two to three weeks, therefore, leaving out the friendlies against Panama and Egypt, which take place on May 31st and June 6th, in less than 10 days.
"The athlete is still undergoing treatment, our expectation is that he will be released within two to three weeks. With us he is in intensive treatment so that we can evaluate his evolution daily, but that is the expectation", explained Lasmar.
