Ney Matogrosso records Luiz Melodia for the first time on Marília Bessy's EP

♬ As lead singer of the group Secos & Molhados, Ney Matogrosso erupted like a volcano in music Brazilian in 1973, the year in which Luiz Melodia (1951 - 2017) released his first album, "Pérola Negra", following recordings of the composer's songs by singers Gal Costa (1945 - 2022) and Maria Bethânia.
Interestingly, Ney never recorded Melodia music throughout his 53-year career. Hence the documentary value of the singer's feat with Marília Bessy in "Magrelinha" - one of the ten gems gathered by Melodia on the aforementioned album "Pérola Negra" - in a single scheduled to be released next Friday, June 12th.
The single "Magrelinha - No cardiac do Brasil" is the first sample of "Let's be happy", an EP that Marília Bessy intends to release in the second half of the year. The EP "Let's be happy" marks the resumption of the singer, songwriter and instrumentalist from Rio de Janeiro's recording career, seven years after the album "Suspiros" (2019).
The single "Magrelinha - In the heart of Brazil" reconnects Bessy with Ney Matogrosso, with whom the singer shared the stage in "Infernynho - Marília Bessy invites Ney Matogrosso", a show premiered in 2012 and perpetuated in a live album and DVD released in 2013.
The single "Magrelinha - In the heart of Brazil" is arranged by Marcio Lomiranda (keyboards and synthesizers) and the touches of musicians such as Pedro Costa (guitar) and Pedro Necessita (bass), in addition to the drums played by Marília Bessy herself.
