Nexus/BTG: 30% intend to renegotiate debt via Desenrola 2.0

About three in every 10 Brazilians intend to renegotiate some debt through Desenrola 2.0. The result is from the Nexus/BTG survey, released this Monday (25).

Since the program was launched by the federal government, at the beginning of May, only 6% of those interviewed have renegotiated any debt through Desenrola 2.0, the survey showed.

See expectations regarding the initiative launched on May 4, 2025:

- 6% have already renegotiated some debt based on Desenrola 2.0;
- 30% have not yet renegotiated debts, but intend to use the program;
- 58% have not renegotiated debts nor do they intend to use the program for this purpose;
- 6% do not know or did not respond.

In addition, more than 70% of respondents said they had outstanding debts.

The survey was carried out by telephone between May 22 and 24, 2026. The survey interviewed 2,045 voters aged 16 or over. The margin of error is plus or minus two percentage points, with a 95% confidence interval.

The Nexus survey, in partnership with BTG Pactual, was registered with the Superior Electoral Court under number BR-04193/2026.

FGTS
Brazilian workers will be able to use, starting this Monday (26), part of the FGTS (Service Time Guarantee Fund) balance to pay off debts through the Desenrola 2.0 program.

The measure is part of the new stage of the federal government's renegotiation program and should generate up to R$8 billion across the country.
