New 'Star Wars' film debuts in third place at the domestic box office
"Michael", a biopic of the King of Pop, returned to the top of the national box office, displacing "The Devil Wears Prada 2", which occupied first place for three weeks in a row. The film tells the story of Michael Jackson from his success as leader of the group Jackson 5 to the beginning of his solo career.
"The Mandalorian and Grogu" debuted in third position. The first film in the "Star Wars" saga in seven years continues the events of the series "The Mandalorian". Bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu (Baby Yoda) cross the galaxy on a mission for the New Republic.
Among the releases, horror also stands out. "Evil Passenger" and "Hokum: The Witch's Nightmare" appear in fifth and ninth places, respectively.
