New daughter, training and absence from a national team game: Neymar's week
Apart from the Brazilian team's debut at the 2026 World Cup, Neymar's week was still busy. The number 10 for Santos and the Seleção learned that he will be a father again and has made progress in recovering from his calf injury.
At the beginning of the preparation for this Friday's clash (18) against Haiti, Neymar did not participate in training with the group and carried out individual activities.
The following day, the star announced that he will become a father for the fifth time. The information was confirmed by his partner, Bruna Biancardi. In a video published on YouTube, the couple also revealed the baby's sex and said they are expecting another girl.

With the confirmation that Neymar would not be available against Haiti, the focus became a possible participation in the third round, against Scotland. The player left the hotel in New Jersey to undergo an imaging exam at a nearby clinic, as well as additional evaluations.
The coaching staff decided not to take Neymar on the trip to Philadelphia. According to the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), the striker will remain in New Jersey to optimize the final phase of recovery from the injury to his right calf, which has sidelined him for around a month.

During this period, number 10 will continue to use the facilities at The Ridge hotel and CT Columbia Park, where the Brazilian team is concentrated during the 2026 World Cup. The decision is part of the planning prepared by the CBF medical department to speed up the player's recovery.
