Netflix invested US$135 billion in films and series in the last 10 years
Netflix claimed to have invested US$135 billion (around R$680 billion) in the production of films and series over the last 10 years. The data was released last Tuesday (12) on the new website Netflix Effect ("The Netflix Effect" in English), created by the company.
According to the portal, the platform contributed more than US$325 billion (around R$1.6 trillion) to the world economy, in addition to 425 thousand jobs, including vacancies for actors, screenwriters, directors and other industry professionals.
Netflix has reportedly established partnerships with more than 2,000 producers around the world and licensed titles from more than 3,000 companies in more than 50 countries.
"The five seasons of 'Stranger Things' generated more than 8,000 jobs, including more than 200 stuntmen who worked on the final season alone. More than 3,800 suppliers from almost every state helped make the series a reality," the company reported on results in the United States.
