Napoli buy Hojlund permanently after outstanding season

Napoli announced this Wednesday the permanent signing of striker Rasmus Hojlund, who belonged to Manchester United.

The deal was closed for 50 million euros (around R$290 million), after a loan season considered successful by the Italian club.

At 23 years old, Hojlund scored 16 goals in 44 matches last season, contributing to winning the Italian Super Cup and finishing runner-up in Serie A.

The striker had been signed by Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023. During his time at the English club, he scored 26 goals in 95 matches. Hojlund was also part of the squad that won the FA Cup in May 2024, coming on in the second half of the final against Manchester City, played at Wembley.

After returning to Italian football on loan at the start of the 2025/26 season, the Dane convinced the Napoli board, who opted to make the purchase definitively.

In an official statement, Manchester United thanked the player for his services and wished him success in his career.
