Musical in honor of Gilberto Gil has cast revealed

Singer Gilberto Gil celebrates his 84th birthday this Friday (26). As a form of celebration, the complete cast of his biographical musical, entitled "Gil - Andar com Fé", was revealed.

In total, 34 actors were cast in the project, including Gui Ventura, chosen by Gil and Miguel Falabella, director of the work, to bring the main character to life.

In addition to Ventura, the cast includes Guga Barbosa, as Tempo-Rei, Henrique Zamith, as Caetano Veloso, and Bel Lima, playing Flora Gil.

Complete the cast: Mariel, Luci Saluzzi, Calu Manhães, Pamella Machado, Letícia, Maria Antônia Ibraim, Chico Rubens, Jesus Jadh, Ofà Lówò, Maurício Reducino, Analuhh, Juliana Teixeira, Ygor Zago, Bia Vasconcellos, VEHTZ, Lubo, Paula Miessa, Vinícius Loyola, Natália Antunes, Thiago Alves, Vitor Vieira, Joyce Cosmo, Ágata Matos, Antonia Medeiros, Jeison Lopes, Moira Osório, Mari Saraiva, Tiago Dias, Pedro Arrais and Romes Pinheiro.

What is the show about?
"Gil - Andar com Fé" will portray Gilberto's childhood in Ituaçu, Bahia, his career in Tropicália and even challenging moments in the singer's life, such as prison and exile in London.

The show will showcase the artist's romances, with Belina de Aguiar, singer Nana Caymmi and Sandra Gadelha (Drão), as well as his friendship with Dedé Gadelha, Sandra's sister.

The musical about Gilberto Gil premieres on August 20th at Teatro Sandander, in São Paulo.
