Murilo Huff talks about the future in music: "As long as they want to listen to me"

Singer Murilo Huff, 30, spoke about what he wants for his career in the future and detailed the composition routine he maintained before reaching the height of his success on stage and how he reconciles both roles.

To CNN Brasil, the country singer said that his goal is "longevity. I want God to continue taking care of my health so that, as long as people want to listen to me, I can be on a stage singing. It's something I love to do and a place where I disconnect from any type of problem."

Huff said that his career goal was never to win awards - which he considers the result of a job well done. According to him, his focus will always be on continuing to please his fans on stage and behind the scenes.

"I want to see people's eyes of admiration, respect and affection. Seeing them get emotional with our music is very gratifying", he reflected.

When asked what he thinks is the best part of being able to work what he loves, he said that he considers contact with the public to be a very important part of his job.

"Music has power. We can, indirectly, bring a smile to someone who is in a bad moment. Sometimes the person comes to take a photo that, for us, may be one of the 20 we take in a day, but, for them, it is a unique moment that will remain with them for the rest of their lives", he told CNN Brasil.

The singer said that he always tries to pay attention to fans who come to his dressing room or meet him on the street - asking how they are and listening to what they want to tell them.

"The power that music has around it is much greater than we can imagine", he celebrated.

Composition routine
Murilo Huff became known for song lyrics that were very successful in his voice or that of other artists.

Some of them are "Me Caiu Tão Bem", recorded by him, alongside Gustavo Mioto; "Zé da Recaída", famous in the voice of Gusttavo Lima; "Bem Pior Que Eu" and "Transplante", both performed by Marília Mendonça; and "Respect the Police", by Welington & Nillo and Diego & Victor Hugo.

With more than 500 compositions registered in the Ecad (Central Collection and Distribution Office) database, the artist said that, with his success on stage, the writing routine needed to change.

"When I lived exclusively for composition, it was a very intense rhythm, I wrote practically every day. My mind was programmed to think about themes, lyrics and melodies all day long. As things happened in my life, it ended up that I didn't have the same amount of time as before", he revealed to the reporter.

Despite the decrease in frequency, Huff said he will never stop writing because it helps him reflect on his feelings and get his ideas "out there,"
