The Public Ministry of São Paulo charged Daniel Barbosa Marinho, a municipal guard for 22 years, accused of murdering Nájylla Duenas Nascimento, aged 34, hours after the couple's own wedding in Campinas, in the interior of the state.

According to the agency's decision, released this Friday (22), Daniel must answer for the crimes of feminicide, domestic and family violence.

The couple was participating in a get-together to make their union official, when an argument broke out inside the residence, according to information from the Civil Police and witness reports. The disagreement evolved into physical aggression. And it was with a state apparatus - with the mission to protect - that the marital dream ended in tragedy.

Remember the case
The wedding party between a 34-year-old woman and a 55-year-old municipal guard, on May 9, in Campinas (SP), ended up in yet another case for feminicide statistics, with an argument that evolved into physical violence and culminated in the death of Nájylla Duenas Nascimento.

The main suspect, Daniel, aged 55, was arrested for feminicide. According to investigations, the disagreement escalated to physical aggression.

Witnesses reported that, after leaving the property, the municipal guard returned a short time later and shot the victim again. According to the investigation, the agent had used his functional weapon to shoot his wife.

After the crime, the police located the suspect and seized the firearm, as well as ammunition.
