"Much better than the Oscar", says Chalamet about the Knicks' victory

Actor Timothée Chalamet, 30, celebrated the New York Knicks' NBA title and compared the basketball team's achievement to the Oscar. In a video, he appeared emotional after the end of the match against the San Antonio Spurs and said: "Much better than the Oscar!".

The actor was a confirmed presence throughout the team's campaign in the NBA playoffs and was in decisive matches, always in the company of his girlfriend, model Kylie Jenner. The couple was also at Madison Square Garden, last Wednesday (10).

The comparison came in a tone of irony after Chalamet returned home without any statuettes, despite his favoritism in the awards. The film "Marty Supreme", in which he starred, received 9 nominations for the 2026 Oscars: Best Film, Best Direction, Best Actor (Timothée Chalamet), Best Supporting Actor (Jacob Elordi), Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design and Best Costume Design.

The actor had already received other nominations before 2026. He was also nominated for Best Actor for his role as Elio Perlman in the novel "Call Me By Your Name", when he was just 22 years old. In 2025, he was nominated in the same category for playing musician Bob Dylan in the biopic "Um Completo Desconhecido".
