Mother's Day: 10 films to watch with the family
Mother's Day is always celebrated on the second Sunday of May, which this year falls on the 10th. For those who haven't yet decided what to watch after family lunch, Antena 1 has made a selection of 10 films of different genres, all available on streaming.
Among the highlights are productions starring Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Michelle Pfeiffer. The list also includes the animation "Robô Selvagem" and the Spanish drama "The Impossible", inspired by a true story. Check it out!

Julia Roberts plays the mother of Auggie Pullman (Jacob Tremblay), a boy who has a facial deformity and is attending school for the first time.
Wild Robot (Prime Video)
After a shipwreck, the intelligent robot Roz is trapped on an uninhabited island. Alone in a hostile environment, she learns to survive and adopts an orphaned baby goose.
My Mother is a Piece (Globoplay and Netflix)
Dona Hermínia (Paulo Gustavo) is a middle-aged woman who is retired. She is a dedicated mother and is always worried about her children, but they have grown up and no longer need her as much, which makes her bored. The second and third films are also available on the platforms.
Crazier Friday (Disney Plus)
In the sequel to "Freaky Friday", Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Anna (Lindsay Lohan) discover that lightning can strike the same place twice. Now, Anna is a mother and has a stepdaughter, facing the challenges of bringing two families together. The first film is also available on the platform.

Goodbye, June (Netflix)
In the film that marks Kate Winslet's directorial debut, a family comes together on the eve of Christmas to care for their sick mother. The atmosphere becomes increasingly chaotic with the imminence of death, but June (Helen Mirren) is the one who dictates the rules of her departure.

Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three children are enjoying their winter vacation in Thailand when a tsunami of devastating proportions hits the coast. The family must fight, alongside tens of thousands of strangers, to stay together.
