Mother of Vozinha, Cape Verde's goalkeeper, travels to complete a visa to go to the USA
Ana Candida Évora, mother of Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha, traveled from her city, São Vicente, to the capital of Cape Verde, Praia, this Wednesday (17) to complete the necessary documentation to travel to the United States.
Ana Candida, who gained sudden fame after her son lamented that her mother missed her son's debut in the World Cup because she was unable to obtain a visa American, was helped by several authorities to speed up the process.
To the Reuters news agency, Vozinha's brother, Davidson Evora, who is also a goalkeeper, said that the president of the Cape Verde Football Federation, Mario Semedo, resolved all the procedures with FIFA and US government officials to make this surprise for the national team's star:
"The documents have been regularized and, practically, everything is ready. We just need to get there and I think everything will be resolved."
