Singer Mosquito, 39, revealed that he received help from a close friend to be able to play Zeca Pagodinho in the cinema. Cast to play the samba singer in "Deixa a Vida Me Levar", he reported on social media that he was skeptical about getting the role and that the support of friends and the public was essential in not losing hope.

In an interview with music journalist Gabriel Dias, he explained that the actor João Vicente de Castro, with whom he is close, was the one who helped him record a video for the selection process.

"We spent the afternoon at his house, designing a test video. Then I said: 'This isn't going to happen'. And it did! Thank God, Silvinho Guindane, director, who looked at it, liked it, thought it would happen, that, with good preparation, we had the capacity to do it", said the musician.

The biopic "Deixa a Via Me Levar", which will talk about the life of singer Zeca Pagodinho, 67, will recreate the famous concert hall in Rio de Janeiro to portray important moments in his career. The Metropolitan, in Barra da Tijuca, West Zone of the city, was the stage for one of the singer's most notable tours: "Samba Pras Moças".

The cast also features Aline Borges and Ângelo Antônio as Dona Irinéia and Seu Jessé, Zeca's parents. Arlindinho plays his father, Arlindo Cruz, Stephanie Serrat as Beth Carvalho, Ailton Graça and more. Filming for the feature film began on May 4th and should continue for five weeks. There is no release date for the biopic yet.
