Morocco seeks to achieve an unprecedented feat for African football in World Cups

After surprising the 2022 World Cup and reaching the semi-finals of the tournament, the Moroccan team could achieve an unprecedented feat for African football in World Cups. If they advance against Canada, this Saturday (4), the team will become the first from Africa to reach two consecutive quarter-finals in World Cups.

In the edition played in Qatar, the Moroccans had a historic campaign by eliminating Spain and Portugal in the knockout stage. The team fell to France in the semi-final.

If they reach the quarterfinals for the second World Cup in a row, Morocco will achieve a feat that not even Cameroon (1990), Senegal (2002) and Ghana (2010) were able to achieve.
