Moraes' wife sent contract directly to Vorcaro, says newspaper

Lawyer Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), sent directly to former banker Daniel Vorcaro the draft of the R$129 million contract she signed with Banco Master, according to a report in the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.

The conversation, according to the report, was obtained by the PF (Federal Police) on the former banker's cell phone. Viviane writes to Vorcaro on January 17, 2024.

"Good morning! Below is the draft contract. Hugs." Then, he attached the document. Vorcaro responded five days later: "Hi, how are you? How can we proceed with the signature? Do you prefer it electronically or do I send the signed physical copies?".

The contract established that Viviane's office would act in cases involving the Central Bank, the Federal Revenue Service, Congress and in the following instances:

- Public Ministry;
- Judicial Police;
- Judiciary (Federal Police);
- Executive (Central Bank, Federal Revenue, Attorney General of the National Treasury and Administrative Council for Economic Defense);
- Legislative, with monitoring of projects of interest to the bank.

CNN contacted the Barci de Moraes office, which said it would not comment on the case.

The agreement provided for the office to receive a monthly remuneration of R$3.6 million for three years, from 2024 to 2027. With the liquidation of Banco Master by the Central Bank, payments were interrupted.

Data from the Federal Revenue sent to the Organized Crime CPI indicate that Viviane's office received R$80.2 million from Banco Master between the years 2024 and 2025.

In a note released in March, Viviane's office reported having provided "extensive consultancy and legal action" and that it had produced 36 legal opinions and legal opinions for Banco Master. The text details that the work involved the subcontracting of three other offices and that 79 meetings were held at the bank's headquarters, in addition to two video conference meetings.
