Moraes maintains trial of Eduardo Bolsonaro in the First Panel

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), denied the request from Eduardo Bolsonaro's (PL) defense to postpone the trial of the criminal action in which the former deputy is accused of coercion during the process and decided to maintain the analysis of the case in the First Panel of the Court.

The trial of the former parliamentarian is scheduled for next Tuesday (16).

On Friday (12), the DPU (Federal Public Defender's Office) asked the STF to postpone the session and summon a minister from another group to complete the quorum of the First Panel. The body argues that the vacancy opened on the board since the departure of minister Luiz Fux could lead to impasses during the vote.
