Moraes asks for the PGR's opinion on including Jair and Flávio in Eduardo's action
Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), gave five days for the PGR (Attorney General's Office) to comment on the possible inclusion of Flávio and Jair Bolsonaro in the investigation investigating Eduardo's activities in the United States.
The request to expand the targets of the investigation was made by federal deputy Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ).
Eduardo is a defendant in the Supreme Court after being accused of coordinating sanctions against Brazil and Brazilian authorities in the United States.
The former deputy has been in North American territory since February 2025 and, according to the complaint, he had acted in the country to interfere in the trial of his father, Jair Bolsonaro, for an attempted coup d'état.
In recent weeks, the Intercept Brasil portal revealed that Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master and investigated for financial fraud, had financed a biographical film about Jair, which was produced in the United States. According to the newspaper, Eduardo would be the main operator of the amounts transferred by the banker.
In a petition sent to the Supreme Court, Lindbergh Farias asks, therefore, that the investigation against Eduardo be expanded to cover the investigation of a possible connection between the film's financing, Eduardo Bolsonaro's international activities and the sanctions campaign against Brazilian authorities.
In the document, Lindbergh Farias also requests the sharing, with the case against Eduardo, of all evidence produced in the investigation into Banco Maser, in addition to the requirement for analysis of financial flows between Vorcaro, Flávio and people and companies linked to the film.
The objective is to determine whether funds formally allocated to the film have been diverted, in whole or in part, to "finance the international campaign of sanctions, visa restrictions, tariffs and coercion against Brazilian authorities".
If the request is accepted, Flávio and Jair would be investigated in the same process.
