Model Nara Smith, 24, opened up about her daughter, Whimsy Lou, being diagnosed with cancer at the age of two.

In a video on her Instagram published this Wednesday (1st), she talked about what it was like to receive the news at the end of last year. The diagnosis - which was not specified - was received by the content creator and her husband. She remembers that they noticed "something suspicious" about the baby and immediately took her to the emergency room. "They didn't know what to do", he explains and adds about the first service.

"When we took her to the pediatrician, I remember him being very quiet and calm. My heart raced at that moment. I don't know if it was my instinct as a mother, but the first thing I thought was that she had cancer", describes the model. She says the doctor asked her to take her to a children's hospital and after some tests and finally a biopsy, they received the diagnosis. "They told her she had cancer, that it had spread, and that she needed to start chemotherapy immediately."

Nara added that she sought support by meeting other parents who have children dealing with the disease and content on the topic. "Processing and dealing with all of this as a family has been very difficult", and said that she has been moving away from social media to deal with the delicate moment that was also combined with the postpartum period of her fourth daughter, Fawnie Golden, who was born in September 2025. "Finding a balance is something that I have fought for every day. Some days it is easy, there are days it is very difficult."

She concludes by saying that she wanted to share it with her followers so that, if someone was experiencing the same thing as her, they wouldn't feel alone. In addition to Whimsy and Fawnie, Nara and her current husband, Lucky Blue Smith, are parents to Rumble Honey, 5, and Slim Easy, 4.

Nara concluded by thanking all the professionals who helped her in the meantime, who "helped us get through and come out on the other side."
