Minister of Finance confirms new budget blockage this Friday (22)

The Minister of Finance, Dario Durigan, confirmed this Thursday (21), in an exclusive interview with CNN Brasil, a new budget blockade by the federal government.

According to him, the economic team is expected to announce this Friday (22) an increase in the blocking of expenses, as a way of maintaining compliance with the fiscal targets set for 2026.

"We do not expect a contingency, given that revenues have been remaining in line with what was foreseen in the Budget Law. However, we must announce a new blockade tomorrow due to the increase in mandatory spending", stated Durigan.
