Milei announces trip to Brazil to support Flávio Bolsonaro's candidacy

Argentine President Javier Milei announced this Friday (10) that he will come to Brazil at the end of the month to support the pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL). The visit is scheduled for July 25th, the date of the National Convention of the PL (Liberal Party) and when the official announcement of Flávio's candidacy will be made.

In addition to attending the PL event, Milei also said that he intends to visit Brasília to visit former president Jair Bolsonaro. The Argentine president and the former head of the Brazilian Executive have similar ideological views and supported each other in their respective electoral processes.

"On the 25th, I'm traveling to Brazil, at the invitation of presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro, and I'm going. So, I'll be in São Paulo and I'll also stop by Brasília to greet Jair Bolsonaro", said the president, in an interview with Argentine radio Now 97.9.

In addition to the agendas on Brazilian soil, Milei is expected to meet with other right-wing leaders from South America, participating in the inaugurations of Keiko Fujimori, in Peru, and Abelardo de la Espriella, in Colombia. During this second agenda, the president also spoke of a possible visit to Daniel Noboa, president of Ecuador.

With the victories of Fujimori and Espriella, the number of countries led by right-wing politicians increased in the region. With a current of support among politicians in the region, Milei spoke of "making sure that the blue wave [reference to the advance of the right] will reach Brazil this year", when posting a photo alongside Flávio during the senator's visit to Argentina.

Flávio's trip to Argentina
Milei and Flávio met in Buenos Aires two weeks ago. During his agenda in Argentina, the Brazilian parliamentarian participated in a conference promoted by the Aliados de Israel Foundation.

Throughout the trip, the senator said that "Brazil will no longer be a vector of instability to become a vector of peace and alliance between Israel and friendly nations" in South America. The statement took place during a speech to the Jewish community in Buenos Aires.
