Milan are interested in signing Thiago Silva for one season

Milan are willing to sign a contract valid for just one season, until June 2027, with Thiago Silva and, with that, provide a high-level farewell to the defender, according to "Maisfutebol".

The Brazilian international is officially free on the market after not renewing with FC Porto, which published, in the last few hours, a video announcing the end of the connection between the parties.

The Dragons were interested in keeping the experienced defender, through an automatic renewal for another season, but the proposal did not meet with the player's full approval.

Right now, Thiago Silva prefers to enjoy his holidays with his family, rest, watch the World Cup games and, calmly, decide the next step in his career.

If he chooses to remain active, Milan appears today as the most likely destination. The Brazilian is an idol at the Italian club, where he played for three seasons (2009/10, 2010/11 and 2011/12), in addition to maintaining a great friendship with sporting director Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Another possibility under consideration is to end his career as a professional player and, subsequently, intensify his studies to become a coach. Thiago has already received an invitation to join the structure of Chelsea, a club for which he played between 2020 and 2024.
