MIKE MYERS CONFIRMS "AUSTIN POWERS 4" AND SAYS THE SEQUEL WILL HAPPEN
Mike Myers has confirmed that "Austin Powers 4" will happen. The answer was direct: when asked if the public would ever see a fourth film in the franchise, the actor simply replied: "Yes."
The confirmation took place during participation in the social channel "Trevor Noah's World Cup Watch Party". Although Myers did not reveal details about the script, cast or release date, the statement was enough to excite fans who have been waiting for more than two decades for a sequel.
The franchise began in 1997 with "Austin Powers: An Undiscreet Agent", a satire on spy films, especially the James Bond series. Myers plays both agent Austin Powers and the villain Dr. Evil.
The success led to two sequels: "Austin Powers: The Bond Bed", in 1999, and "Austin Powers in the Golden Member", released in 2002, which featured Beyoncé.
Throughout the franchise, other important names also appeared, such as Elizabeth Hurley, Heather Graham, Mindy Sterling, Verne Troyer, Michael Caine and Seth Green.
Mike Myers had already shown interest in returning to the Austin Powers universe. In 2024, he stated that there were still stories to be told. Last year, he also revived Dr. Evil in a segment on "Saturday Night Live."
For now, the only concrete information is that "Austin Powers 4" is confirmed by Myers. Details about the plot, cast and production should be released in the future.
