The composer and publicist Miguel Leite de Oliveira Neto, known as Michel, died last Thursday (25), in Rio de Janeiro, at the age of 71.
The management of the Azevedo Lima State Hospital informed CNN Brasil that the patient had been admitted to the hospital since June 21, but, despite the efforts of the medical team, he did not survive.
The artist is the creator of songs that were successful in the voices of Tim Maia and Roupa Nova, such as the songs "O Descobridor dos Sete Mares", "Pecado Capital", "Bons Momentos" and "Não Dá".
In addition to family members, companions and other musicians mourned the composer's death. Ronaldo Barcellos shared a death note on his Instagram last Friday (26).
The publication reveals that the wake and burial of the musician's body were held this Saturday (27) at Memorial Parque Nicteroy, in the Laranjal neighborhood, in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro.
In the publication, Ronaldo Barcellos left his affection for his colleague.
"Rest in peace, dear partner/friend/brother. After so many songs, we became distant, but always friends. Lots of light for your new journey. Thank you for your friendship and talent. God watch over you, dear Michel!", wrote Ronaldo Barcellos.
