MG4 Urban coming to Brazil reaches 100 thousand units in China

The MG4 Urban, a model that will be launched in Brazil soon, is already a success in the Chinese market. On the other side of the world, the electric hatch has already reached 100 thousand units produced, after eight months of launch.

During this period, the MG4 Urban maintained an average of close to 10 thousand units per month on the Asian continent.

The EV compact mid-size hatchback is produced at SAIC's manufacturing base in Nanjing, China. However, there are plans for local production of the car, in Ceará.

What is the MG4 Urban like?
The 100% electric model has dimensions of 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, 1,551 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

The Urban is larger in length and width - compared to the MG4 currently sold -, but is slightly lower in height and wheelbase.

With no confirmed price yet, it is possible that it will be positioned below the MG4 Comfort, listed at R$ 164,600.

The strategy is to place it in a more competitive range, between R$ 130 thousand and R$ 160 thousand, precisely where the hottest fight for compact electric cars is in Brazil.

The MG4 Urban can arrive with two battery options: one with 42.8 kWh and the other with 53.9 kWh, with an estimated range of around 400 km.

The electric motor should deliver around 170 hp of power and 25 kgfm of torque.
