Mexico x England: storm protocol is activated at the Azteca Stadium

The match between Mexico and England is scheduled to take place this Sunday (5), at 9pm (Brasília time), in a duel for the round of 16 of the World Cup. Just hours before kick-off, FIFA storm protocol signs were spotted at the Azteca Stadium.

According to English journalist Barney Ronay, thunder could be heard in the stadium area. He also recorded the signage at the back of the grandstand, with the message "Electrical Storm Protocol Activated."

The heavens have just opened in Mexico City (after this video was taken) and the thunder is significant. Signs around Azteca state that the 'Electrical Storm Protocol Activated.'

The Azteca have already experienced adverse weather conditions in this World Cup. In the previous match, in the round of 16 stage, the start of the clash between Mexico and Ecuador was delayed by an hour due to the rain that hit the place.
