The 30th edition of the São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade arrives on Avenida Paulista on June 7th. The event marks one of the biggest celebrations of the LGBT+ community.

However, the lack of investment in the event structure has put part of the attractions at risk.

Amidst the reduction in sponsorship, artists such as Melody, Pepita, Diego Martins, Jup do Bairro, MC Soffia, MC Trans, Isma, Diversas, Katy da Voz e As Abusadas, Bombeat, Zumbicore and Dornelles gave up their fee to perform at the Parade.

The event lost around 60% of its sponsors and the artists, mostly members of the LGBT+ community, mobilized so that the mobilization would not be harmed in relation to the attractions.

The artist Pepita, 43, published a video on Instagram reinforcing how the departure of sponsors affects visibility, safety, culture, jobs, artists, movements and, mainly, the LGBT+ community as a whole.

The 30th edition of the São Paulo LGBT+ Pride Parade takes place on June 7th, starting at 10am, on Avenida Paulista. The organization advises the public to spread out and follow the flow along Haddock Lobo and Bela Cintra streets to avoid bottlenecks and enjoy the shows and electric trios safely.
